Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 July 2026

By creating an account or using PL8 PEEK, you agree to these terms.

What the app does

PL8 PEEK returns vehicle specifications — make, model, year, VIN and related details — for a Canadian licence plate, using third-party vehicle data sources. It does not return information about the person who owns or drives the vehicle.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use PL8 PEEK to:

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, without refund.

Credits and purchases

Refunds

All purchases are made through the App Store or Google Play, and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies — not by us. If a refund is granted, the credits or plan it paid for are removed from your account.

Accuracy

Vehicle data comes from third-party sources and may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. PL8 PEEK is provided as-is, without warranty. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for buying a vehicle, for any legal or insurance purpose, or for any decision where being wrong would matter. Verify anything important against official records.

Availability

We do not guarantee the service will be uninterrupted. It depends on third-party data providers that can go down or change their terms. If the service becomes permanently unavailable, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you in advance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to PL8 PEEK is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will notify you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
